GET INVOLVED
We all are aware that our nation’s military men and women are some of the bravest individuals around. They continually put their
lives on the line for each and every citizen of our nation. They provide us with freedom from dictatorship and freedom to live our
lives without fear of a tyrannical government. Although their contribution is the ultimate of contributions there is a need for
patriots like yourself that does not require you to risk your life. It only requires for you to be involved in one of the following
positions. Each of them has their varying levels of responsibility ranging from watching a voting location to being a leader at some
level. There is a place for you at whatever comfort level you are. Take a moment and read through the different positions and let us
know which one you would like to participate in. This is your chance to live out your patriotic passion. Hope to hear from you soon.
STATE GENERAL
As the State General of Athens Brigade you will need to provide support to all the District Commanders in your state. Have a
complete copy of your state election laws, and list of state election commissioners’ emails and office information. To become a
State General you will need to email Athens's Brigade National Leadership. Once we have received your email you will be provided with
a vetting form to be completed and returned. Once you are approved you will be given instructions on setting up your email account
where you will maintain a complete list of all District Leaders in your address book. You will be responsible for vetting all District
Leaders in your state, maintaining a complete list and updating it as needed. You will need to be able to update your leaders on any
election law changes, district changes and provide support. That sounds like a lot, but it is nothing more than opening and maintaining
a line of communication. If you can maintain an email address book, a computer file of officials and PDF files of your state laws, you
can do this. Every state has different requirements so you will be in charge of following them per your state. Set up a meeting or two
immediately with the District Leaders so you will get to know them and have a comfort level that they will complete their tasks. You
will be the reason for success in your state so do not accept this position if you do not have the free time and drive to make a
difference. You may also need to get a District Leader extra help if needed.
District Leader
As a District Leader you will be responsible for vetting volunteers in your district, sending out regular emails to the volunteers
with updates, and setting up a poll watch training day with your closest election office; requiring that all volunteers attend. It is
extremely important that all laws are followed. Hold door to door information campaigns as much as possible. Hold voter registration
drives all over your district. Most states have the form available on their state election website. Set up a meeting or two immediately
with the volunteers so you will get to know them and have a comfort level that they will complete their tasks. You will be the reason
for success in your district so do not accept this position if you do not have the free time and drive to make a difference.
The Brigade Volunteer
To volunteer, you must be available on Election Day. To signup, click on your state and then click on your district. There you will
have the opportunity to sign up as a State or District Leader if vacant, or to be a watcher of the polls on Election Day. Please provide
your full name, email address, and phone number. You will receive a vetting form that must be completed and returned immediately. You
will be contacted and confirmed. The District Leader will gather an address book of all volunteers in the district.
Election Day
We want to have poll watchers (THE BRIGADE) at the polls all across the country on Election Day. Most, if not all polls, will not
allow video cameras or phones inside the poll stations, but we need to be watching all parking lots, sidewalks and entrances. Our
goal is not to intimidate any voter but to prevent it from happening. We are not going to speak to voters but we are going to provide
a sense of silent protection this is about making sure our elections are fair.
